Hello, I'm Andrei Selivanov — a tech systems architect, mentor, and licensed sailing captain.
For over 20 years, I owned and operated an independent tech company, building infrastructure from scratch for businesses of all sizes. I managed more than 3,000 IT and network projects and personally trained over 50 technicians. My focus has always been on reliability, simplicity, and long-term support.
Three years ago, I sold my company to pursue a lifelong dream: a new adventure in sailing and marine engineering.
After earning my skipper’s license in Montenegro, I took command of my first yacht — a 51-foot catamaran based in Hawaii.
I led a full technical refit:
In April, I captained the vessel on a transpacific crossing from Honolulu to Los Angeles with a crew of three. We spent a full month at sea due to a miscalculation of the wind patterns. Despite the unexpected delays, the crew performed exceptionally well under pressure. It turned into an unforgettable adventure — one that tested our resilience, strengthened our teamwork, and reminded us why we sail in the first place.
My second yacht was a 45-foot catamaran I found abandoned on land in Maryland.
It required a full rebuild:
Later, I sailed the vessel from New York to Key West, and eventually to the Bahamas and Palm Beach.
My next mission is to bring together a passionate team to launch a yacht club in New York City — a place for learning, refitting, exploring, and inspiring others to set sail.
This site is a reflection of my journey:
from building reliable networks on land to mastering systems at sea.
Let’s connect, collaborate, and create something meaningful.
